Quick question is that if my fiancee chooses to get her vaccinations done there in the PI, will the cost be covered in the $95 dollar fee for the medical exam or is it a separate fee? If a separate fee, anyone can provide some figures? we are trying to determine how much we should set aside for all of the fees.

Aloha.

It's included with the medical. There is no additional fee.

mmm.. now i am not certain if there is actually a fee based on the responses received here. Thus I should set aside some funds in case there is a charge. Is there anyone who can respond to my question that has recently gone through the vaccinations? Thanks for all replies.

i think the better question would be , aside from MMR (mumps, measels, rubella) that they administer in St lukes, for those who have been thru aos, what other vaccinations will the fiance from manila need? or what other vaccines does st lukes offer?

ive read in post in some other site that they also administer the TD (tetanus diptheria)

if you already had chickenpox (make sure you have the scar to prove it) then varicella shot is not administered

so the rest that are needed to be taken are the ff:

pertussis ( whopping cough) - usually is administered in children (maybe your fiance already had this when they were young)

Polio (again i think this vaccine is administered at birth

pneumoccal

hepatitis -B

Influenza (flu shot) - i heard this shot is quite expensive but i dont know if it is readily available in manila. there are flu shots that you can get here at ralphs or your local walgreens for about 25 dollars. if it is more expensive to take the shot back in manila then you can have your fiance/e to take the shot here

i hope someone who has done their aos and went to a civil surgeon can help us out. im not an expert on this, im also in the process of getting my fiance get the shots so im trying to figure out what shots need to be administered out of saint lukes.
