After receiving the work authorization card...what else do I need to do?

You filled for the work authorization with AOS right? If yes, then you just wait for AOS approval. After you get your GC nothing more to file for 2 years.

If you don't have an SSN yet, apply for one. Depending on the state you're in, you may also be able to get an ID or drivers license (some require a GC)

want to work? go get an SSN, study the I-9 form.

Good Luck !

I have my work authorization card and SSN. My work authorization card does say it expires next year. So, I'm assuming I should be filing something else.

I did not get my green card. Unless my work authorization card is my green card? The card only says employment authorization card.

filing something else? to work in USA? no.

Look, the EAD + SSN is a stopgap until yer GreenCard arrives.

With EAD and SSN, you can work. The expiration date in the EAD card is so far out, you will receive greencard prior to EAD expiring (usually, unless USCIS is lagged on everything)

-50 points for not studying the I-9 document.

If you entered on a K1, the next step is to file for AOS (which includes work authorization (EAD) and the ability to travel outside the US (AP)). As was said, your EAD is a stop-gap until your AOS is approved. AOS approval gives you a 2 year green card.

So, the question remains ... did you file for AOS (Adjustment of Status) or did you just file for EAD? If you just filed for EAD, then sure you can work, but that will not lead to a green card. You need to file for AOS for that.
