Should ICE agent be disciplined for arrest?

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., is demanding answers after a report surfaced that a veteran U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent is facing punishment for refusing to release an illegal immigrant he'd arrested on multiple driving violations because his supervisors said that under the Obama administration's immigration enforcement policy, the suspect was not a 'priority target.' Should the agent be disciplined?

Exactly. If a citizen had multiple driving violations, he would be thrown in jail.

Wow that's a tuff.one. he disobeyed orders. Was the order legal ? It's not really his place to make policy on the street. As wrong as Obama's policy is and as bad as it is destroying this country, I have to say the officer was in the wrong, albeit not morally.

And on Edit I think the News story might have it a bit wrong. I do not think ICE makes traffic stops. I think he may have been called to hold him for a civilian officer. I am curious if the driver was released on all charges or just not deported ?

Little more info-- it was not a traffic stop---http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/exclusive-ice-agent-faces-suspension-for-arresting-illegal-alien.html

What exactly is a "driving violation?" Does this guy have a lot of speeding tickets?

Anything from speeding to red lights. If you or I had 10 we'd have our licenses taken away. Of course this man probably doesn't have one to take away....

Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily

Death toll in 2006 far overshadows total U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq, Afghanistan

WASHINGTON – While the military “quagmire” in Iraq was said to tip the scales of power in the U.S. midterm elections, most Americans have no idea more of their fellow citizens – men, women and children – were murdered this year by illegal aliens than the combined death toll of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since those military campaigns began.

ICE agents do not perform traffic violation stops. They have no jurisdiction on traffic laws. Sessions need to take a crash course in Constitution 101.

Is he working or is he off for five weeks with the rest of Cngress?

At the end of the day the man arrested does seem dangerous with ten violations. IMO ICE needs to adjust their priorities as this guy could kill someone.

He had ten prior Violations from the local police. I don't think he had any outstanding. Non the less you are dead on. He was illegal and should have been held.

Do you watch Border wars. we spend millions stopping them at the border, but when we catch them in the city it's ok. Makes no sense.

Actually

1. it was not a traffic stop

2. The3y absolutely do have jurisdiction

3, ICE absolutely can make traffic stops

4. This has nothing to do with the constitution, it has to do with a officer being told to not enforce the law, because the President used the executive branch to nullify constitutionally passed laws... -Now that has everything to do with the constitution.

1. In which case his driving record has nothing to do with it. His violations being in admissible in court. Knee jerk reaction from Fox trying to make news where none exists.

2. USCIS does not have jurisdiction on traffic violations, so much so, this person was not arrested for a traffic violation.

3/4. The Xth Amendment begs to disagree.

For the benefit and edification of all, can you cite the ligslation of which you speak, by which the POTUS nullified constitutionally passed laws [sic] which instructed this officer not to arrest this man on immigration charges?

Does anyone know if Sessions is working or on vacation for five weeks with the rest of Congress?????

He is illegal period.... does not matter if it is traffic violation or any other violation.

ICE supervisor telling his agents release illegal immigrant coz of Obama order does not make any sense, their job is to keep the illegal immigrant out.

When do we say enough is enough and stop illegal immigration.
