Questions re. interview at Montreal Consulate

We haven't received the letter with my interview date yet, but I thought I should seek the advice of others in the meantime. Firstly, will my husband (my petitioner) be able to come in the Consulate with me while I am waiting for my interview? We were reading some information on the Consulate website that was unclear about this issue.

My next question, is a general police clearance letter sufficient for the interview? Or, is a more comprehensive reference check required?

Yes, the petitioner can accompany the beneficiary inside the consulate in Montreal, and even to the interview room. Just make sure he brings his US passport otherwise he won't be allowed inside.

As for the police certificate, that should have been sent to NVC with the IV package. Did you not do this?
