Dear fellow VJ'ers,

I paid my IV bill today and downloaded the cover sheet for IV package. The next steps as suggested on the NVC portal are to send a filled DS 230 form along with civil documents. Questions is, I have a signed & filled ds-230 document and missing a police clearance certificate from the list of marriage, birth, passport biographic page and records of continuing relationship. Can I just post packet over to NVC with what I have(w/o PCC) and wait until I get an RFE or wait until my spouse to send me PCC in next week and then post the document package?

I was reading an online post where NVC will ask for the document to be submitted before interview and still completes the case here sometimes. Just want to confirm which part is true. Thank Ya all!

PS:The docs I have are essentially photocopies of originals.

Yes, you have to submit original and photocopies.

The reason is that: Your original will be returned at the time of interview. If you dont provide photocopies, then they will not return your original doc.

That answer helps! Should we write a letter to NVC and include it in packet saying PCC will be provide during interview?

PCC from regional passport office and PCC from Commisioners police office are taking forever!(sigh)
