Hey, just be careful you don't get a fake. For a reasonable price, I bought a 8GB "HP" (Hewlett-Packard) drive in Chengdu, at a reputable store. Turns out it was a fake and only 2GB…. The packaging, the logo, everything looked authentic. You can't tell a book by its cover, particularly in the PRC.

Thanks for your reply. I just arrived in China, so I only now have Internet and email access. Before that it was just planes, hotels and taxi drivers.

I would pay a couple hundred dollars for a 'fake taxi driver repellent'; you think they sell that in China?

I got swarmed by about 8 of those fake illegal taxi drivers that keep trying to get you to walk into a back alley with them to their illegal taxi so they can overcharge you by 50 to 1 or so. And just like a swarm of bees, I couldn't shake them until I hopped into another taxi.

Not thinking about a USB Drive now, I need some repellent... and alot of sleep.
