J1 administrative processing

Hello,

I know this might come across as a redundant topic, but I would appreciate an update on the current waiting periods of administrative processing for J1 visas.

I applied for a j1 visa for my residency training in the US( am a doctor) after the prerequisite steps and certifications. My visa has been under AP for around 15 weeeks now.I had always known that AP could be horrendous, but never thought that a J1 visa AP could take that long...

I know my case is not the norm; has anyone heard of J1 visas being subjected to such lengthy APs?

Also since I am hanging on to every shred of hope that comes my way, is there a realistic chance of my visa coming back soon, or is it one of those forsaken cases that take years?

Will appreciate your input.
