Hey guys,

I am so glad to see that I am not alone in this. Just wanted to ask a couple of questions. Just recently (but feels like years ago),I sumitted the I-130 form for my husband. I am a US citizen, July 2nd is my ROA1 date, California Processing Center. How soon can i expect to hear from them, to hear anything at all? So far i have received the ROAs letter only. Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

You mean NOA1 (Notice of Action)? well no one can say . The goal for the service centers says 5 months. Your adjudicating date on your timeline is a good helper just not written in stone since it goes by just VJ people who keep their timelines updated. So brace for 5 months at USCIS than another 2 months at NVC and another month or more to wait on interview. If less what a nice surprise. But CSC has been moving very fast lately so who knows is all I'm saying.

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Yes, i meant NOA and not ROA - sorry :)On the time line below, there is only a little over three months between NOA1 and NOA2. Could i get anything in 3 months? I know that nothing is guaranteed and I am okay with it. I just need to set the expectations and need some good news today :) Thanks so much for your help!

I can't see your timeline, (did you create it already?) but that should give an estimate on when your file will be adjudicated. If you have not filled it, please take some time to do it since it will also help the VJ community.

CSC has been working pretty quick even under 3 months in some cases. If I were you I would begin reading the guides for NVC processing and pre-processing to have everything ready for the next steps:

DS-3032 email template, I-864 or I-184ez (or which ever applies to you), tax transcripts or W2's for the last 3 years, paystubs (all that for the AOS), DS- 230, police records, marriage cert, etc ...

This was a great read for me:

Best of Luck!!!

And remember to:

08/20/2012: Mailed VSC request for Upgrade to CR1

I think if you just click on timeline in the left box of any of your posts this will lead you to the page saying you do not have a timeline, would you like to create one, it will ask for your email then some questions about the type of form, app submit date, NOA1 date, etc.

This helps VJ have more accurate estimates of processing times.

Thanks! I just filled in my timeline. Three months would be great (well, not great but much better than 6). It looks like I need to do more research. Any tips or info from more experienced folks would be appreciated. :)

Wow, 36 days... I am not sure why some people get it in 36 days and some in 5 months. I wish i knew what those who got it in 36 days did so i could do the same :)
