My I485 was transferred to CSC on 26th September 2011 (yes, it was in 2011!!--10+ months so far)--I have contacted State House Representative and no result either. So I am just waiting and doing nothing on it now.

But my EAD will expire on 30 Oct. EAD is related and will affect both of my health insurance and driver's license. (I am currently employed and the employment is related to my insurance. My learner's permit also expires on 30 Oct, which is related to my EAD).

When and how shall I apply for a 2nd EAD IF MY GREEN CARD WAS NOT APPROVED BY THEN? (this seems very likely).

Anyone has some idea on when shall I take a road rest? (before Oct 30?--since the current learner's permit is related to the first EAD; OR after Oct 30?--after I get a 2nd EAD??) I am so confused......

THANK YOU!!

I would get a Senator involved. I would make an INFOpass appointment. Contact the President as the DHS is in the Executive branch. I would call the number for the USCIS and get a Tier 2 human and put in a service request. 10 months is too long to wait. Start making noise. Become the squeeky wheel. Get the AOS approved rather than worrying about filing again. 10 months is an embassment.

I sure hope you get some response soon,

Good lcuk,

Dave

If you are unable to get the information you need after contacting the USCIS or attending your Infopass appointment, I would suggest contacting Ombudsman for assistance. Please see the following link.

http://www.dhs.gov/files/programs/editorial_0497.shtm

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.

I thought it was a simple process of simply filling out the EAD form, including a copy of all I-797-C formletters received since arriving in the USA, and including a cover letter asking for another EAD to be issued.

IIRC, it's free. A benefit of USCIS dragging their feet. BUT - you must apply.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
