Hello VJers,

I have another question regarding the I-134 Affidavit of Support. My fiancé works for a family business and since the business is just starting, he doesn't get much for now. Right now, for his annual salary, he only gets about $20,000 (which is more than what is on the poverty guidelines). Will this be a concern for the consul during the interview? Hope you guys can share your insights. Thanks!

As long as he makes enough to cover the 125% of poverty guidelines according to the size of his household as stated in the I-129F form.

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. I just felt nervous reading some posts here on VJ about their fiances making about $40,000 and more a year. I'm worried they'll say he doesn't make enough. Thanks again for the reply!
