I would suggest to schedule the appointment online. It's so much easier. If you're worried about getting a "better" date for the schedule, it's the same thing. Whatever dates are available online, it's the same as what they will give you over the phone.

Sorry you had a hard time on the phone, Good luck on the rest of your journey!

thanks

Schedule your interview online first then try to call them shortly.. I did call the USEM 3 days after i made my schedule.. I was able to make my interview 10 days earlier than the schedule i made when i called USEM..

wow i guess it's possible...this answer my question lol thanks

I was calling the U.S. number from the states and that is not long distance. I just recently got to the Phils, and called the Phils number, yes the same one above. It cost me almost 300 peso's load due to holding the line. Then they told me to send an e-mail and she wasn't very nice.

So today I called the U.S number and yes its long distance, but cheaper then being on hold on the local number. I have maybe been on hold once for less then a minute calling the U.S number.

why is it long distance????

i called US#...holly craft i hope i won't get bill for calling US# (hhmmm i have free state to state calling..lol)

Yes, if you have an appointment set-up already and you call and they have an earlier one, you can reschedule to the earlier one.

Because im in the Philippines calling the U.S. number on my U.S. phone. I have cheaper than normal calling so I'm willing to call the U.S. number rather than the local PI number.

Don't wait for the package, have your fiancee pay the fee at BPI in the Phils and schedule the interview. You can do this from your computer in the states. This is exactly what I did. You will get a confirmation letter at the end of scheduling the interview, print that and bring that with - with all the other required documents. If you call and set-up a date, I assume they send you e-mail confirmation and that is what you would bring to the interview..

Good luck

Are you on k1 category? Check this out http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_005.pdf As far as I know Ds160 is not included as one of the requirements.. and it says that "DS-160 Online: New Nonimmigrant Visa Application (Use this form if you are applying for any nonimmigrant visa category, except for a K visa.)"

I hope this helps
