I had the EXACT same problem, when i tried to schedule on the phone, so I ended scheduling online instead and aside from filling out the online forms we were scheduled in a matter of minutes, the hardest part is teh security measures where you try to decipher those words or numbers.....lol sometimes i fail security measures like that because the writing is terribad

I would suggest to schedule the appointment online. It's so much easier. If you're worried about getting a "better" date for the schedule, it's the same thing. Whatever dates are available online, it's the same as what they will give you over the phone.

Sorry you had a hard time on the phone, Good luck on the rest of your journey!

I have the same experience.. hehehe.. she told me to wait for the notification from USEM.. I can schedule appointment online but the available skid are already sept 17.. which is so long for me.. i was hoping to get last week of august. to do that is to call them.. which i found out other guys did, they are able to get earlier appointment by calling them than online.

But i like to ask how long did you wait for the notification from USEM? or did you already received it? Thanks A lot and Good luck too.. :-) God Bless.. :-)

Schedule your interview online first then try to call them shortly.. I did call the USEM 3 days after i made my schedule.. I was able to make my interview 10 days earlier than the schedule i made when i called USEM..

Thank You so much!! Your a blessing! God bless and good luck on your journey!!

They are just following the "rules", you call them up and their computer says your file hasn't been sent or some such thing and they will tell you to call back.

Online is always the simplest.

I have been calling the U.S. number for the embassy for the last two weeks. Very nice and helpful, except no earlier interview date for us. I wasn't impressed with the Phils number I called when I got here. Try calling the U.S. number and maybe get a better response. Plan on calling alot and no earlier appointment's available.

I was calling the U.S. number from the states and that is not long distance. I just recently got to the Phils, and called the Phils number, yes the same one above. It cost me almost 300 peso's load due to holding the line. Then they told me to send an e-mail and she wasn't very nice.

So today I called the U.S number and yes its long distance, but cheaper then being on hold on the local number. I have maybe been on hold once for less then a minute calling the U.S number.
