I know I have to change my address but I wondered how I should go about doing this. Should I try to make sure that the address is changed before sending in the I-751? How will that process work? Will my wife (the beneficiary) have to get a new green card? Will that change anything in the I-751 process? I just want to make sure I do this right. Thanks everybody.

If USCIS approve the I-751 your wife will receive a new green card. You have 10 days to change your address after you moved and you must file form AR11 online, but keep in mind USCIS is a bit messy and I heard several cases of people that sent form AR11 and USCIS didn't update the address ,and sent to the old address RFE.I would change the address before sending form I-751, but despite your I-751 will have your new address do not forget to file the AR11 form online tho.

I would recommend reporting your change of address to USPS as well as with your old address (if you had an apartment with a leasing office) so they can forward mail to your new address.

we were in the same boat. our 90 days started the day we were supposed to move. So, we signed the lease a lil early, informed USCIS about the address change. Updated the address on all of our credit cards, bills etc. then moved to new place. and now we are going to mail the packet. I have heard that if you mail the packet and then try to change the address you might get RFE cuz they want to make sure both of you moved to the new place. So its better to send the packet a few days late than sending it early and then getting RFE.

Thats the way we did it, not sure if its the best way.
