hello, my wife came to u.s last year, she now has her green card and her daughter which we filed in 129-F as "to follow" just arrived last month... should we still pay for our daughter's change of status? or is it automatically same as my wife?

do we really have to pay a thousand dollars to change our daughter's status? someone told me we dont have to... please help us. thanks so much!

If your stepdaughter was under the age of 14 and filing for AoS simultaneously with at least one parent then her fee would be $635 total (including biometrics).

Since she will not now be filing with her mother then her total fee will be either $985 (if under the age of 14) or the full fee of $1,070 (if 14 or older).
