Non of the IV packet should have gone to USCIS. You need to submit, according to the guides

Send your IV Package (USPS Express mail gives tracking and essentially insures delivery)

Below are the package contents:

BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for IV bill)

You OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate

Completed DS-230 part I & II and ONLY part I signed by beneficiary.

Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page.

Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate.

Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate.

Original police certificates of the beneficiary.

Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable.

Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable.

Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary

Once everything has been sent in, it's time to wait.

Good luck

Actually you should call the NVC tomorrow to find out what is specifically missing. We had sent in our IV packet with the DS 230 part 1 & 2, pictures, birth certificate, etc... I got a checklist emil for the birthcertificate about a week later. There are two kinds of official ones and we sent the wrong one. Then another week went by while I was preparing the translation of the new birth certifiate and i got the same notification that you got, saying imigrant visa part 1. I thought oh god, something else? Were they taking about the DS 230 part 1? I knew I had included that. So, long story short, I called and they told me that they were referring to the birth certificate and to just sent that with the other documents that go with it, the photo copy and the translation. The email saying imigrant visa part 1 was referring to original email requesting the right kind of birth certificate. Did you get another checklist email requesting something else? I would call them tomorrow to clarify what they need. Good luck. Getting closer.

When you recieved your packet 4 instruction was it the same as mine?? I dont really know if should i just leave it to my agent or should i insist my agent to send all the documents even though its not listed on the instruction on packet 4.

Sravan may be right. If you didn't print cover sheet and send your IV packet after your IV bill showed paid on the pay,ent portal, then I believe this is them saying we are NOW ready to receive your packet. For anyone going through the NVC check out the Lingche shortcut! You don't have to wait to get the email request your next packet. Mail the packets with the coversheet you can print out from the payment website as soon as its marked paid!

smells like a 'false checklist response letter', alas.

Most folk get that after paying the AOS FEE without yet submitting the IV set.

It's normal.

Relax.

Is your USCitizen Petitioner studying LingChe here on the wiki space, or not ?

as to yer question, no, Part I is filled out completely, and Part II is also filled out, but not signed.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Well...it sounds like it would be VERY common then, because the order of NVC is to pay the AOS fee before submitting the IV application.

Send your entire IV package, if you haven't done so already. Include ALL the documents you mentioned in your first post, plus a photocopy of your civil documents, plus the barcoded cover sheet (this should be the first page of your package)

If you've sent off your IV package already, disregard this as a false checklist. This is often automatically sent out when your AOS package has been reviewed.

FYI, you didn't have to wait for NVC to send you instructions for the next step. You could have sent off the IV package as soon as the fee status changed to PAID.

It's exceptionally common.

You can study each NVC 2012 Monthly thread, and see the same pattern.

Good Luck !
