Any K1V applicants been asked by CFO like this?

Conservative Americans do not like giving Governments (including ours) Private information or having our Families being harassed by Governments. If they are not going to call these numbers then why do they ask for them? Unfortunately financial institutions have used Mother Maiden Names in the past as a security measure and hackers know this (Sadly).

The reason for a cut and paste was to ensure accuracy or information was maintained.

My comment about "Bullstuff" was directed to the (CFO & Government) and not toward the original poster.

HEy! Who are you? This is my piece. I wrote this after my CFO experience. I posted this in a group on FB. May I know who are you? Anyway, with regards of them asking phone numbers, it is only for contact infos purposes..No more no less. They just need it for in case of emergency..

this is true, but the CFO is demanding a landline number which many people don't have.

They did ask for the Mother's Maiden Name on my CFO seminar. When one participant asked why they need it, the woman doing the orientation said that it's easier for them to find the fiance's records if they search using the mom's maiden name. She said some foreigners with common names like John Smith is hard to pinpoint or find on their system. So having the mother's maiden name kinda make the fiance's record unique.

Not sure if it makes sense to some but I gave my fiance's mom's maiden name and had no issues.

i wish there is a separate seminar or orientation if your husband/fiance is also pinoy but US citizen. so that we can skip some parts of the seminar not applicable with pinoy spouse or fiance. to save some time.

I totally agree with you, the seminar should be for fiance/spouses for different nationality, not for naturalize citizen.

That KIND OF makes sense, BUT... what if my last name was GingerWalkinTall, but my mom's maiden name was Smith?

Now if they were using a database that joined the two last names together for a unique search, I could understand that argument. But I doubt that is the case...
