Hello all, I was just married in Gensan two weeks ago. I have a teenager that lives at home with me and its very hard for me to live her to travel and visit. Is it possible to be granted a tourist visa multiple entry for my wife. Can I also apply for the I30 at same time or should I wait. I truly only want her to be the one to travel to me as she has no work and hard for me to leave with my daughter while we wait on K3. Also, My daughter is 15 after she graduated our intentions are dual residences, kinda like snowbirds, any advice would be greatly appreciated. If granted, I am looking to have my wife come every 3 to 4 months for a period of time.

Married to a USC and without work in PI, unlikely to be granted a tourist visa

The consulate does not care why she wants or needs to visit the US, they care about her ties to PI and why she must return. What can she provide to show that she MUST leave the US?

Good luck

It is unlikely someone from the P I that is married to a USC would be granted a tourist visa. The problem is always the same which is proving she must return to the P I. Since every person with any visa is considered an intending immigrant she has a huge problem because she is married to a USC. This is because her strongest ties are to the husband when she enters the USA so they feel she will not return.

You may have to consider a C R 1 type visa which comes with a green card. Using that in the manner you suggest could also cause problems. The intention of the green card is to reside in the USA.

This is very unlikely. She has much stronger ties to the US than PI.

Also I see u mentioned a K3 that is a dead issue. You would send the I-130 and that will line you up for the CR1(married under 2 years) visa.

But as everyone has mentioned no ties especially no job. It will be near impossible. Many of us I am afraid face this disappointment. Sorry.

Forget the multiple-entry tourist visa for your wife as there's a 99% chance it would not be granted, but then again there's the 1% who knows. Now that you know the odds, consider petitioning your wife using Form I130 and submit same to USCIS. The process should take less than a year for most filing for her to get a emigrant visa to the US. Once she's there, you could all go back and forth from the US to GenSan and vice versa, but insure that each time your wife goes to the Philippines, it's only for short duration and that she stays in the US for the most part of the year. Otherwise her green card visa might be cancelled.
