We are waiting for our NOA2 and organizing the forms and documents needed for interview. I have been reading about the affidavit of support form I-134 and am wondering if my fiancé has the last 3 years tax transcripts does he still need a letter from his bank listing his deposits for the last 12 months? Or, are the tax transcripts and a letter from his employer enough?

Depends on how close his income is to the poverty level. If his income is pretty good then the tax transcripts, the letter from his employer and his last few pay stubs should be fine.

If he makes enough in income alone, then no need to list assets on the I-134 or provide bank statements. Letter from employer and/or most recent pay stub(s) are what you need to prove current income.

Last years complete tax return and w-2, 1099's and recent pay stubs if there is no question about being above the poverty level requirements.... if your close I would naturally show anything and everything I could.

Probably transcripts being that they come from the Internal Revenue Service and confirm his filed taxes. It wouldn't hurt to bring both, but transcripts always show that one has filed their taxes and what the income was.

Next question, I know the I-134 and supporting docs gets sent to the consulate with other packet 3 docs but do I also need to take copies to the interview?

Not sure how Australia does things, but the Philippines has the beneficiary bring the I-134 and supporting documents to his/her interview. The supporting documents can be copies while all government forms or anything requiring a signature must be original with original signatures. In our case and speaking of the I-134, she will have the form and copies of supporting documents to hand over, but she will also have originals of anything she hands them for evidence. The I-134 instructions state that supporting documents can be copies. If you send in or take copies with you (as in our case), be sure to have the originals of anything you present with you at the interview.
