Hi

Does anyone know if there is a length of LAYOVER time one needs to keep in mind when returning with husband and (God willing) Approved immigration Visa???? Is there a required minimum? Or a maximum that I would need to have a heads up for????

For instance my route has always been California to Paris CDG with about 2 hour layover then into Rabat and same for the return....

I planned a direct flight into LAX for POE but how much time if any is needed for him in Paris?

Thanks

OOOOOPS please move this to MENA...I am in games too much

I would suggest at least three hours just in case his flight is delayed before his arrival to USA. It took us 2 hours just to wait thru customs and wait for his interview which turned out to be a huge hassle. The woman interrogated him worse than the dang consulate did. Anyways a 2 or 3 hrs is good.

no transit visa needed for CDG right?

will this be his first time @ CDG? has he flown internationally before? sometimes some extra time for the travel inexperienced is needed. two hours would be the minimum in my opinion. i am somebody that does not ever like to be rushed, i'd rather risk waiting a bit than be stressed about not having enough time, so that's the pov i'm coming from :)

thanks I too dont like the stress of cutting it short either.

He will be with me so I am a little familiar with the airport dont know if that is much help  ....but I wanted to know if there is extra security checks for him with the layover???

Has anyone gone through CDG with their SO?

And yes it would be the first time travel international for him...do they have to do background checks at CDG???

And now I dont know of the "transit visa"...where does one look? On the CDG airport website? Or official French gov web site?

It is sounding more than a stroll from one terminal to the other... :bonk:

maybe more than 2 hours will be needed ~

cdg is a nightmare. I would recommend 3 hours as every time i have flown through there there have been delays in landing, luggage, blah blah blah. the staff are so nice and friendly too :P

Working in Turkmenistan, spouse is with me.

Yes CDG is full of FRENCH... :innocent: I have had the pleasure

But going through is there extra security checks because he will be traveling on a U.S immigration visa???

Just curious if this would be another leg of this VISA JOURNEY to anticipate more delay than regular airport delays...

I confirmed there is no ATV needed..by weeding through the France Diplomate web site listings

so that is not an issue TG!!

BTW Hello to my neighbor further down south!!! :D

No clearing customs going through CDG from Tunisia to the U.S., just had to clear standard security screening. This could be because I didn't have to change terminals. If you have to go to another terminal, that may be a different story. The transit to the next gate was quick both coming and going, less than an hour. But, I agree with the other posters, give yourself plenty of time, no need to be rushed--you got what you came for! Good luck!!! :)
