Century man, did you have to give them a reason for going for early bio? Thanks

Well I'll be out of town during the week my appointment was originally scheduled. So I just said so when I got there and they seemed fine with but keep in mind you could be waiting for hours (in my case 7...) as they give priority to people with appointments . Since my green card expired on 8/12 I figured earlier rather than later especially that I'm traveling early next year and I'd rather be done with the process before doing so.

See if your local office is always packed before heading over there w/o an appointment.

All, first time i post on this site and not sure if this is the correct location for the tread, so apology in advance if it is not.i have the following questions and hope you guys can help:

1- I will have to file i-751 on Sept 15 2012, and i have not received the letter from USCIS yet. I read that almost everybody received a reminder letter. Last year i changed address and updated the new address online. Should i have done anything else? When you change the address the tool asks if you have any applications pending and i assume i had not since i already had my conditional green card. Is there a way to check if the USCIS has the correct address?

2- At the end of the greencard interview, i remember that after stamping my passport, the agent, gave me a paper with my A# and said that in case i needed a new greencard or when it was time to file the i-751, i should have added this paper in order to expedite the request.. I have not heard anybody mentioning anything in any tread about this.. so i am wandering if i misunderstood (it was a long long day and it was 2 years ago)..

Updating lostinlove03's NOA date :) About Bio date, it's really up to your local office so...

Thanks for updating the time line and answering my question. AH -- i didn't realize our local office gives bio dates -- I assume we get a USCIS notification for the appointment time/date?

All, first time i post on this site and not sure if this is the correct location for the tread, so apology in advance if it is not.i have the following questions and hope you guys can help:

1- I will have to file i-751 on Sept 15 2012, and i have not received the letter from USCIS yet. I read that almost everybody received a reminder letter. Last year i changed address and updated the new address online. Should i have done anything else? When you change the address the tool asks if you have any applications pending and i assume i had not since i already had my conditional green card. Is there a way to check if the USCIS has the correct address?

2- At the end of the greencard interview, i remember that after stamping my passport, the agent, gave me a paper with my A# and said that in case i needed a new greencard or when it was time to file the i-751, i should have added this paper in order to expedite the request.. I have not heard anybody mentioning anything in any tread about this.. so i am wandering if i misunderstood (it was a long long day and it was 2 years ago)..

1 - I'm not sure if there's a way to check, but we haven't moved in the entire process (same address all the way back to when I first filed the I-129F) and we never got any letter saying that we needed to file. I don't think everyone gets it.

2 - Not sure what paper that could have been...do you still have it?

Just mailed off my application today, so now to sit back and wait for the NOA1 and hope that we didn't do anything wrong. We spent ages yesterday checking and re-checking the mailing address, making sure we had included everything, and that the check was clearly written, dated and signed. Hopefully this'll be a simple process.
