Hi guys, It Christine, I was with the May filers first time around (Jannah1208) I could not remember my pass and my work issued new email's so I just made an account.

We filed August 13th got our NOA1 August 20th Bio Sept 25th.

I just got a notice for an interview. We never got an RFE. Our interview is June 18th at 9am... that same day at 2:30 we fly out for our family vacation to Disney World... ugh!!! I hope the meeting is not over 3 hrs....lol

First time I sent, We had a baby so all his stuff, Bank statements, life & health insurance, lease, taxes, new car we purchased with title, Proof of his mother visiting from Egypt for 6 months, utilities, family zoo yearly pass, and 4 letters with 15 photos.- (we had a lot with his mom and my family together, amusement park, cousins wedding and kids birthdays)

For this upcoming meeting we are adding 2012 taxes, bank statement, health insurance still active, lease with buying option to buy the house we rent (we wanted to start after Disney), Disney trip info, renewed zoo pass, new phone contract with my parents and us on it as a family plan, AAA family auto insurance and more letters and pictures.

Any suggestions??? Those who remember it took us a month to be approved for the residency card. I had a previous marriage where the guy used me. I did turn him in to INS and wrote a letter about out relationship and how I found out his true intentions. I guess the meeting is because of this???? Just don't know what else they need. I want to make this as pain free as possible

Naw, it was a randomly chosen interview, and sounds like poor timing in their part! I can't imagine that it will take more than 3 hours. Have fun at Disney! Just take as much proof of a good faith marriage from the date of your marriage to present Good luck! You will do fine!

You had previous marriage and I am assuming that you are the resident alien? Correct? So, you got married before to an American Citizen and then you turned him to INS?

No, I am the American citizen, my ex husband was from palestine, our marriage lasted 10 months once I caught him bragging how he was using me and my 2 children. My Imam had to physically come and remove him from my house. An immigration lawyer called me when he tried to ROC himself. I wrote a letter stating he was using me with proof.

My current husband was never married before. He is from egypt.

No we never got a RFE, just a letter for an interview. We sent everything off and had the Bio appt, everything went smooth. We got a letter, we thought it was the GC, but it was asking for an interview.

I mean we sent them everything but the kitchen sink....lol

BOO! i got a rfe today as my fingerprints were unsuccessful. I had them done both digitally and old school.

On my RFE it says I now have to go get a police check done and send that along with an affidivat..

Really why did it take them almost 9 months to decide my prints were #######...

Hi all,

Here is a quick update on my removal of conditions:

05/13/13 - received a strange email from USCIS stating that they'd updated my mailing address even though I had not requested any address change. Contacted USCIS with the issue. The representative on the phone submited a service request to an immigration officer.

05/14/13 - received yet another email from USCIS stating that they'd ordered the production of a new card (the approval letter was received almost three weeks prior)

05/15/13 - another email saying that the card was mailed

05/20/13 - green card in mail.

It took almost a month to receive a greencard. And it looks like USCIS has some serious issues with automatic emailing system (my friend also received a couple of strange emails absolutely not related to her case)

Just as a side note, when I was waiting on my approval, I contacted my congressman and they did get back to me about 3 weeks later with the case update. At that time I already had my approval letter but it was still good to know that they did not drop the ball on my request and contacted the immigration services.

We took our sweet time, but mailed our RFE response yesterday.

We were waiting in hopes some other pieces of evidence would come in the mail, but decided to go ahead and take a chance with what we had, because we wanted to mail it before we leave for England this weekend.

Here's the latest on the wrong address saga.

Green card arrived today!!!!!

USPS tried to deliver it to the wrong address twice. A week ago it was finally delivered to St. Albans, VT (small miracle here) and it arrived today!!!!

The address still wasn't 100% correct but it was correct enough to get here :-).
