Yay!! Got an email saying they have ordered production of my new card on May 10, 2013. Not sure though when was the approval date. Hope the others will get their approval very soon. Happy friday everyone!!

Latest update in the saga of the wrong address:

Today, May 9th we received a letter from USCIS dated April 30th stating that the green card was shipped to the wrong address due to a clerical error on the part of USCIS (No kidding Sherlock!!!). We are welcome to apply for a free replacement card by filing an I-90. We can request expedited processing, which may or may not be granted.

We have one more service request number out there which should be answered by the 21st. Hopefully we will get a better answer from the second service request or will get a response from the Ombudsman's Office.

Congrats to everyone else who has been approved and actually received their cards.

Oh good grief! Why can't they get this right? I hope the card comes quickly!

Are people still getting tracking numbers from uscis for green card? I received approval letter but no USPS tracking info

Go to: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis put in your reciept number and click check status. Your tracking number will be there.

Interesting. Mine was there. I had received an email that said the card was shipped. The tracking number was missing on the email but was online. Did you receive an email that your card was shipped or only that you were approved?

Our status has never changed from Initial Review. The only way we even know there was an approval is the letter with no tracking number. John did some research here on VJ last week and found that most of the VSC approvals are getting email notifications if signed up and changes in their status on the USCIS website. CSC folks - not so much.

It's ok Really! They just want more information, and once you send it, your approval will follow quickly At least you know now that are working on your application.

I just wanted to say congrats to all those who have gotten approval since the last time I was here, and it is especially nice to see a few of my fellow RFE'ers get approvals too

We're pretty sure the problem was that we didn't get enough evidence from our landlord, which is pretty important since we don't have any children yet. Since I (Jay) initially got this apartment without Karen and needed my father as a co-signer since I didn't meet the salary requirements, all leases and bills list my father and I as the first two people. When Karen applied to be a tenant, her name was never added to any bills or leases because our apartment complex only lists the first two applicants (dumb policy) . When we brought this up with the leasing manager when first applying to remove conditions, she made an artificial document with my wife's name on it and sealed it in an envelope to show that we hadn't tampered with it, but apparently USCIS didn't see my wife's name there and said it was "an expired lease". So this time, we got a photocopy of my wife's occupancy application, a letter from the leasing manager, and we explained the whole ordeal in our cover letter. Hopefully that will clear everything up.

It just sucks because we were hoping to be done with everything by now, and it took us more than a month to collect more evidence of our joint residence and accounts. We don't want to be the last ones from August to be accepted!

Lol! The first update made was that they ordered production of my new card. Now they are saying that they mailed it to my address. If that is the case, I should be getting it pretty soon!
