According to USCIS web site (Posted Jan 4), CSC is working on May 22, VSC is working on Mar 5 case. They are slowing down... :(

I think this could be because of the holidays in the past month, Hopefully they will pick up speed in this month of jan .

If you look at the timelines you can see that the time it takes to get approved really varies from one person to another. This being said it is taking longer and longer to get approved. Just one year ago an I-751 file was processed and approved in 3-4 months... :wacko:

AOS from J1

8/9/2010 AOS+EAD mailed

8/20/2010 Acceptance email confirmation received

8/23/2010 NOA received in mail

8/28/2010 Biometrics appointment letter received (scheduled for 9/13/2010)

9/13/2010 Biometrics done

9/27/2010 Interview appointment letter received (scheduled for 11/10/2010)

10/08/2010 EAD approved

10/21/2010 EAD received in the mail

11/10/2010 Interview. (approved!)

12/20/2010 Card received in the mail

8/12/2012 Beginning of the removal conditional status window period

8/21/2012 I-751 packet mailed to the California Center.

8/24/2012 NOA received

9/19/2012 Biometrics appointment

I think this could be because of the holidays in the past month, Hopefully they will pick up speed in this month of jan .

Well the really annoying thing is that the that was reported for VSC was:

Jan 4, 2013 processing time report - as of *Nov 30*, 2012 they were processing i-751 from ***March 5, 2012***

but the last report:

Dec 13, 2013 processing time report - as of *Oct 30*, 2012 they were processing i-751 from ***March 5, 2012***

So in the month of November, they did not advance the processing of i-751 even by ***** 1 day *****

I wouldn't expect anything for at least 3 more months. (and I think realistically 4 to 5 months) Sit tight, at least we all have our extensions and our loved ones are with us while we wait. reading.gif

Hi everyone I called USCIS VCS today as we filed I 751 August 16,2012 they told me they were presently working on April and it would be mid June before we heard something if not we would need to contact them so we have while to wait good luck everyone and God Bless

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

It is just to start comparing with something close - other than that everything really depends on one's own case plus the current average processing time.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with the the following situation. My wife just accepted a new job working in the lab at a hospital here. The HR dept needs her to fill out the I-9: Employment Eligibility Verification form. She gave them her green card with the the I-797 that shows it has been extended 1 year. However, the HR dept is saying that irregardless of the I-797, her green card is still expired, so they are not considering it as falling under List A of acceptable documents for the I-9. They are telling her that it falls under List C and so she needs something from List B, which primarily is a Drivers License. However, she only has a learners permit at this time. Any ideas on how she should handle this?

Feb. 2018 - VISA Received!

May 6, 2018 - Arrived in the  U.S.!
