Friends I'm a little confused here...when you all mention packet here..does it contain lots of stuff in it? ]

Its just a 3 page form and xerox copy of your conditional permanent resident card isn't it? Am i missing something here ??

Will they decline my application?

I have had issues adding myself to the list (sorry inept) - could someone add on my behalf please. I filed and they received my packet in Vermont on 2012-08-23.

Waiting for NOA1 but hopefully any day now - i filed without my Green card in possession as it was recently stolen (i filed with a photocopy of the front page, the police record, and a letter of explanation)

Did you send it requiring a signature by any chance?

I did send it with signature confirmation, yes.

But it looks like problem is solved. I got email confirmation about half an hour ago to say that it was delivered. Strangely enough, the delivery date came up as being for the 23rd... so it must have just taken USPS a long while to update it in their system. I'm relieved that it's gotten there safely though!

Awwww, so many familiar names! It brings me warm fuzzies. Hope all is well with y'all, Beth/John & lostinlove :)

We're finalizing our package - just waiting for our tax accountant to request & fax us our tax transcripts. I dunno if we'll hit Aug 31 or not...

I died inside last week when my boss mentioned wanting to transfer me to Germany or Finland in a year or so. Oh how ironic, be completely done with immigration here (he's sending in his naturalization papers to arrive on the first available day), only to start work-related immigration for us both, haha. (Fortunately, we wouldn't need to do anything for that - it's all on them!)

Hii K and L! Hope you are both well. I had the same feeling seeing all the familiar names. It was a tough ride but we all go through it. Hopefully this and naturalization will be easy breezy since we have them by our sides!! : )

In the directions for filing the application it tells you some of the other things they are looking for. When we got our NOA it did say on there that you could send that information in with a copy of the NOA attached if you don't feel like waiting for the RFE (I don't know that I've read of anyone who has done this, but it does say it on the NOA.) Frosty Mist gives you a good list above also :)

Unfortunately, I'm afraid you're missing quite a lot of information if you only sent in those things you mentioned. Aside from your form and copy of your permanent residence card, you are also required to submit evidence to support the validity of your marriage. Don't worry though! If the immigration services feel that you have not included the information they need, they will send you an RFE (Request for Evidence) which will allow you to then send in all of the required documentation so that they can begin processing your application. They may also just return the whole application back to you and ask you to re-submit it with the required information.

Some of the evidence you may want to think about including are:

Tax returns

Rental agreement / mortgage information

Bank account (showing both your names)

Credit cards (showing both your names)

Letters from family and friends (stating that they know you both and you are living as a married couple).

Insurance information (like health insurance, if you have a policy in both your names)

Updating My NOA1, Gotta it today (8/27/2012)

May I know how long it will take to receive the fingerprint notice after receiving NOA1? I am just curious.

They print out our noa1 on the same day they received the package (22/08/2012), sent it out on 08/24/2012 and we got to it today 08/27/2012. How many weeks from now, we should expect another mail from USCIS for fingerprint?

I think it totally depends on your local office - they are the ones that set the appointment, so it depends on how backed up they are!
