Are the unmarried children also applying for an immigration visa? if the answer is yes, then yes, a birth certificate will be needed for their visa application.

Your question is somewhat vague. We applied for a K-2 visa for my unmarried stepson, a complete visa application, including birth certificate was necessary for him to get his K-2 visa during my wife's June 13th K-1 visa interview in Guangzhou.

Please check the specific instructions of your interviewing embassy.

Good luck on your visa journey.

thanks but the child is not not applied as k2 yet..

Please read the instructions of the interviewing embassy for specific information. Que Saudade conveniently provided the link for you.

At the interview phase, it is always wise to check the instructions/requirements of the interviewing embassy, as that each one has a little bit different requirements.

Read the link !!! :reading:

From the link:

e. BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Your birth certificate should be a copy issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on security paper (not from the Local Civil Registry Office). If applicable, you should also submit NSO birth certificates for all your children, even for those who are not applying for a visa. You may call the NSO Information Center at 02-737-1111 to inquire on securing a birth certificate or visit their website at http://www.census.gov.ph. If the NSO does not have a copy of the birth certificate, you must obtain a statement about its unavailability from the NSO and obtain a certified original copy (not an extract) of the birth certificate from the local registrar in the town where you were born.
