I would like to discuss and get some opinion on my case that I applied US Immigrant Visa(I-130) for my Parents living in Pakistan back in June 2010 after six months of waiting California Center asked for the required documents and they all went good and finally National Visa Center gave us time for interview in August 2011, after the interview was done in US Embassy Islamabad,Pakistan the officer gave them a green sheet stating that they will have to provide more documents that includes all of the passport from the beginning so we sent in after 3 months they asked me and my parents to conduct DNA test so we did that and the result was sent directly to embassy in Islamabad in December 2011 and now its been more than 6 months we didn't get any reply from them.I did email them and they keep saying that your case is in Admin Processing. Can somebody tell me is there any way we can speed it up or anything?

No way to speed anything up. Your best option is to call your senators office and have them make an inquiry on your behalf. The embassy answers their emails and inquiries a day or two after they send it. It seems a few years ago the AP time was longest at about 9 months but now its taking up to a year or more. I'm sure its just a matter of time altho it is very frustrating and interrupts life as we know it. They can't issue the visa until the checks and investigations they do are completed.

All you have to do to get a senator involved is to find your senators office call them ask for the immigration representative. Tell them your story and they will email you a form to fill out and fax or scan or email back. Once that is completed they can make the inquiry.

Best of luck!

If they are in AP there is nothing you or anyone can do including your senator.

AP means they are doing the background, name check for them.

I have seen ppl in AP for even 6 - 8 months.

we gave interview back on 30th Aug 2011 so its been 12 month now.I am thinking to try the last thing by contacting the senator.
