It was issued on 10/16/06, he would have received it on the 19th, but he was sleeping when the mailman rang. He'll fly in on November 8th so he can enter with an IR1. That is one year, to the day, since he went back to Germany after his last visit.

I want to thank everyone again for your advice and encouragement during what has been the most trying and exasperating year of my life. You've all made the expercience so much more bearable. To all of you still enduring the process, have faith and you will also get the golden ticket.
