Question on I-134

I originally had a version (Rev. 07/14/06) which had a section at the botom of page 2 for Oath Or Affirmation Of Sponsor that needs to be notarized. The new version I found is (Rev. 05/25/11)and this does not have the notary section but still has the oath or affirmation.

So the question, is it true then that I do not need to have the I-134 notarized?

Thanks.

Some consulates require notarization of the I-134, some do not, check out the information for the interviewing embassy/consulate, and the respective regional forum for information.

I could give you more country-specific information if your timeline information was present. :time:

Good luck on your visa journey.

No, there's no need to notarize that signature in particular because the Oath of Affirmation; where you "certify under penalty of perjury" . Unless the Embassy SPECIFICALLY tells you to do otherwise (which is not for every case, they may request it for people with a pending approval, through a 221-g)
