NVC said case is being entered

Hi, I called NVC just a couple hours ago and they said they are entering it in the system and I should wait for them to contact me. They did not give me the case no, and she kept on repeating "the case is being entered in the system, and we will be contacted"

Is this what people are getting now? Because earlier they kept on telling me I should wait 10-20 business days. Should I call them again?

Keep calling them everyday. They are taking around 10-15 days to give out case numbers

When I called someone was actually in the process of entering our case. I was able to get a case number but they couldn't take our emails until the case done being enters. I called back a few hours lasted and it was all set. Keep calling!

Today I also got the same reply that the case is being entered and give them a week or so to assign a case number. I hope to get it by this week end.

It is kind of like a generic answer. When they told me this I thought, someone was entering the case now, and that to me means it would be entered in few hours. Yes, looks like your NVC receive date is only 7 days after mine. So I would expect you would receive your case number on Friday. But could be sooner or later. But I am almost sure you will get it Friday.

I hope to get it by Friday. NVC confuses me by their replies. When initially I started calling NVC they said they received my case on 30th July and then after couple of days they said the file was scanned in the ystem on 2nd August so they received on 2nd August. Now whenever I call them sometimes they say 30th July and sometimes they say that 2nd Agust is the received date. Anywys, when they received is not important; they at least received it, is important. Now, I am anxiously waiting for case number as I have all the packets ready to send after the bills are showed as paid.

Must be a dumb operator. They won't know if the case is being entered into the system by someone at that point. They just know whether it has a case number created or not <period> . You have to call every day to find out if they entered on that day. I always preferred to call them at the end of business day (after 5pm ET) to find out a whole day update.

I got the case number on Aug 10th. But the AOS fee bill is not yet invoiced. I am thinking it will be invoiced this weekend. I tell you they are taking a lot longer then I thought. Oh and thank you guys for all your help. My wife was able to go to the PSK and apply for PCC. Now there will be a police inquiry. I just wish the police would do the things in timely manner. It took her for ever to get the PVC form police station.

Very slick chance to get October date since your case number has not been created yet. Don't want to discourage but just trying to be realistic.

NVC is having a bit of backlog recently due to high number of quick approvals coming from CSC. I never heard AOS/IV invoice emails over the weekend. You should have your AOS invoice in next week.
