I can not say in words how mad I am right now...

Yesterday I went to a DMV office here in Phoenix,AZ

to renew my driver's license, which will soon expire.

I have brought along the original NOA letter and I was

very relaxed waiting for about 2 hours to be called up to the window.

The DMV person told me to show her my extension letter and

after showing it to her,surprise...she told me that what I have is not the

original letter from the USCIS. I have no other original than that.

I know the quality of paper is inferior compare to my previous letters

from USCIS and the paper looks like it was cut up somehow slant, but

it has watermarks and that is what I've got. I have tried to show

her a copy of the letter that I've done and it looks different, but she did

not want to hear about anything.I went to talk to the supervisor, same problem.

I want to ask other people on VJ if you guys have experienced this kind

of proble.Has USCIS change the quality of the paper? The DMV person said

the paper should be greener...I am baffled.

I have called the immigration hotline 3 times, they will not reissue a new letter

for me,they advised me to make an infopass.I have no valid passport,as my passport

is processing in Canada right now,but the lady on the phone said that the local

office would be able to help me even without passport.

Any thoughts andc advises will be greatly appreciated.

Thnks a lot.

Yes they have. Here is the information from their site: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=583c8b9740466310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

I suggest you take a printout of the above to them. Tell them to google: "USCIS changes paper" and they'll find that link on the USCIS site.
