Hi I was just wondering if during the F2A visa interview or during the process of entering the U.S, will there be a denial of some sort just because wife is pregnant? Will they ask for verification that we are going to pay for the pregnancy and not be a burden to US?

Thanks

Hi. A couple things to take into consideration with the baby on the way do you still meet the financial guidelines for sponsoring your wife and child. Do you have medical insurance that could cover her prenatal care and delivery? I would think if you can say yes and show that you will be able to add your wife to your medical insurance once she is here or maybe can cover the costs of the hospital bill. Also take note some hospitals will have resources that can help with your bill irregardless of your immigration status and are not affiliated with the government. But I would think it would be wrong to deny you folks just because of a pregnancy. Wishing you the best!

I was just thinking that maybe they notice my wifes tummy and they ask whether we will burden the US in letting them pay for the child's birth. I hope they don't delay and ask for proof or what. I hope they don't though.

You will be responsible for the medical expenses, not the US government. That is definitely something to plan for.

if she is traveling to the USA in the intent of giving birth to a child here so that the child will have US citizenship, then she is committing fraud to state otherwise.

Yes i will be responsible for the med bills but my main concern is that us embassy would assume that i would not be thus denying or delaying the process after she gives birth.

I don't see why this would be an issue, (if anything its more proof of a real marriage) add one more person to your household, if your AOS still is good then you are good.

She is your wife, if you have insurance you just add her to your plan, pregnancy is a life event for most insurance carriers and you will be able to change your health plan without waiting for enrollement periods.

Good Luck!
