I'm planning to go to jordan and visit my friends this october. I currently have a 3 year student visa here in australia and I am wondering if I can apply for a tourist visa here in australia or do I need to apply in my country of origin which is the philippines?hoping for a clear answer. thanks

Then, once you have determined what you need, contact your consulate as to how you should proceed.

One of the things you have to prove is ties to where you are to be sure you will leave the US at the end of your visit. What are your ties to where you currently are that will ensure you will leave ? That is the biggest thing to get a visitors visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
