What habits does your significant other have that bother you?

My husband uses an electric trimmer to take off his whole beard when it gets too long. For days afterwards I find hairs everywhere...in my toothbrush, in my toothpaste, behind the faucet, etc.

My husband finds surprising places to store kitchen things when he puts them away [usually wet, too!].

When I ask him why he didn't just put the item where it belongs, he says that it would take too long to figure out where that is, after which I point out that it takes me just as long to locate the item the next time I need it as it would for him to put it where it belongs.

Fortunately, he's wonderful at remembering where he put things. He's also wonderful at remembering where he's seen items that I'm accusing him of misplacing and actually put in the wrong place myself. And best of all, he's wonderful at not getting riled up when I get momentarily irritated about this, so after it all, we end up laughing together about how the baking pan wound up on top of the refrigerator. (Also, did I mention how great it is that we happily share the cleaning/cooking/dishes, which results in his putting things away in the first place? Because it is.)

He leaves his sweaty gym clothes on the floor "to dry". It drives me nuts! I refuse to pick them up to put in the hamper. They could grow mold and disintegrate there for all I care. Not that I'm stubborn or anything... Also, after he takes a shower, he lays the wet towel over the bed to dry, thus wetting the bed.

My husband is germophobic and uses his foot to raise the toilet seat. Maybe that belongs in the odd habits your spouse does thread but the bathroom talk got me thinking lol

I prefer to do the dishes in our house. I'm overly picky about how the dishwasher is loaded. Like utensils are loaded grouped together by kind for easy unloading. All sharp utensils are pointed down, and non-sharp ons point up. I could go on about the entire way I stack the dishwasher, but I've just found what cleans and dries things best while getting the maximum load in it.

Things my wife does that bothers me

Doesn't remove her hair from the comb in the bathroom before putting it away. It goes into the same drawer as the toothbrushes, use your imagination

Changes her clothes 6 times a day, then says she doesn't want to go out because she'd have to change her clothes

She can't talk and text at the same time. I can ask a simple yes or no question, but she won't even hear it. But if I'm texting she expects and answer?

Haha, that occurred to me, too. Of course, if he spends time finding the correct place, over time he will learn where things go and need less time to put them away. If I spend time looking for something, it's wasted time because obviously I can't learn the incorrect place if it changes each time he puts away dishes.

This logic didn't appeal to him any more than the my time/his time line of reasoning did, unsurprisingly.

I hate when my husband leaves cigarette butts all over the back patio. They usually end up in the space between the pavement.. He always says he is going to clean them and he never does. He also leaves the matches all over the place too.. GGRRRR!!!

yes, the price doesn't seem to phase him. I have bought him lots of patches. He will wear them for a few days then I will find them hidden in his jacket pocket instead of on his body!

I think they only work if the person really wants to quit. My ex was a smoker almost all his life. Then one day he quit.

I told my husband how important his health was to me a little while after we started talking. He quit for my sake. He has had a few slip ups, but I highly suspect that will end in America because a lot less people smoke (none in our neighborhood) and it just seen as really gross.
