So I got two notifications today from USCIS, one saying my EAD card has been ordered the other saying my AP has been approved. I thought I read somewhere that the two cards are actually one. So is it safe to assume that since my EAD card has been ordered that that covers me for travel outside the US also? Thanks! For those interested its taken just over 2 months to get this approved. They received my case on May 29th.

Even they are printed on one card, they are still two separated applications. that's why you got two emails.

Don't worry, everything is fine.

If your EAD card also states "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole" on the bottom above the expiration date, then it is a combo card and you can use it for employment and to re-enter the US. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f5d28bcbf851e210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6abe6d26d17df110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD

So I had another text alert today saying my card has been ordered? So firstly it said ordered on 2nd, now it says ordered on 7th? Hmm, anyone else ever had this?

It happened to everybody. Look at my timeline.

Just ignore it, you will get another email saying your card has been mailed.
