Can (should) we bring our children with us to interview?

Hi, everyone! My husband and I should have the marriage based green card interview coming up. My husband thinks we should bring our kids with us, and I tried looking it up and I saw that some said you shouldn't bring your children because they might be a distraction, or disruptive, and some said they saw that some people brought their children with them and they saw them charming the socks off of everyone. On the other hand, I also read that you're not allowed to bring them into the actual interview room, so that if you do bring them with you, you will be split up, while one of you is interviewed, and the other one is watching the kids. I think this might depend on which location the interview takes place. Our interview hasn't been scheduled yet, but it should be Holtsville, NY, or maybe the Queens or Manhattan, location... Does anyone have any experience bringing children with them to the interview in NY? Our kids are very well behaved, and we know that if they see all four of us interacting with each other, they will know our relationship is real right away. On the other hand, I don't want to bring them if that means we will be interviewed separately. I'm hoping for the quickest and easiest interview possible with us both together. :) (I guess everyone is lol.) If we bring the kids will it be quicker and easier or will they split us up? Thanks!

If interaction with children was something that the CO's wanted to see and evaluate then doing so would be included in the interview letter.

Kids sitting in a waiting room with one crappy tv beyond their control doesn't usually work out well for anyone.
