Cyntica welcome to VJ

To add a friend you can click on any of the members names in the left hand column beside their posts in the forums, or find them listed in the membership list. When you click on their name, their VJ Profile opens up. There will be a listing of options right beneath their photograph which includes as the first one 'Add Me as a Friend". Click on that and it will transfer their photo and name to your 'friends' list'.

I mentioned on Monday that I saw on the USCIS website an RFE. I thought it would be for the blue background on me and my fiancee passport pictures. It wasn't that.

It was for page 3 of I-129 application part C. I didn't answer the questions about if I was involved in domestic violence and other types of crimes. There were 3 questions. I answered no to all 3 of them and sent it off today. I recieved the hard copy in the mail yesterday evening. One page was instruction and the other was the page to respond. Both pages were blue in color. I made copies for myself.

The version I used (i.e. the current version on the USCIS site) has 3 questions on page 3:

1. If you are currently serving in the Armed Forces...

[Answer: "Not in military service"]

2. Have you ever been convicted of...

[Answer: No]

3. If you have provided information about a conviction for a crime ... check all of the following that apply to you:

[Answer: blank, as none of the following applied to me]

There's no way to answer "no" to question #3--are you sure that's what you did?

I used tracking from postal service to see when they recieve it. It says it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for them to respond to the RFE when they receive it.

So all in all it was a really simple RFE.

Looking at my save application in the computer I dont remember in I penciled in the X on that question :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Exactly I too thought it was for military and that it didn't apply. The form is poorly layed out because too many of us have issues with that section.

You are correct. I looked at my saved I-129 and there is no way to answer no to those 3 questions. I don't understand why I got an RFE on that. Strange. Very strange. Yet the RFE that was sent to me was regarding this section. This is a bogus RFE. :wow:

I stand corrected. :bonk: It is question #2 which have 3 parts to it and at the bottom of it there are two check boxes Yes NO. I did not check off either box. That is what my RFE is on.

Just got an update on the USCIS website. Message says "Request for Evidence Response Review"

I received it in the mail on Wednesday, then mailed the response on Thursday. They received it on Saturday according to my tracking information and now it is Wednesday and they acknowledged receipt at VSC.
