Good morning,

I want to ask you whether to get the CAA (Adjusment CUBAN Act), to the point where it says:

The CAA applies to foreign spouses and children regardless of their country of nationality or place of birth (in my case my son and I are Italian and my wife with a Cuban and Italian citizenship with passport ), provided that:

are residents with the principal alien in the United States

At this point, my residence must be continuous in U.S., or my wife can go to U.S. and wait 1 year and 1 day also, and then I'll meet you at the time of application Filed I 485? ; in this time i can go to Italy with ESTA and Return for the application?

Thanks for your kind response.
