Unfortunately we have in the VJ some misogynists and they will use anything within their power to make women feel miserable, they do not miss one single chance to put down a women or hurt their feelings, but what can we expect from abusers?

Thank you everyone. In response to Xanax, I think what I meant to say was that the people who were so quick to blame certainly wouldn't get any sympathy from me, but even while I say this now I have to admit that I am not being honest. I would never say anything that was less then supportive to the victim to someone who was or is experiencing abuse. I did get angry at all that happened in my post, but quite frankly it is about time I did become angry. I have spent so long being sad, afraid, and controlled it is time to feel and say how I feel when I want to.

With that being said, there are so many wonderful people on this forum and I am very grateful for that. There are also some who have PM'd me and still check in on me and that truly means a lot to me.

I think at where I found myself in amazement with some of the responses is the fact that I am a nurse. I work with all types of people and I see tragedy daily. I also have thought to myself why would this person do this or that, but those words never stay in my mind to long because truly I do not know what this persons life is all about. So many times people make judgements when in fact, when we meet someone we only have a quick snap shot into someone's life, we do not know the deeper parts that really make a person do what they do.

Someone also said in this thread that they don't understand how people can marry without a lot of face to face time. I totally agree with you and it was so hard for me. I did do a K1 visa and the first 3 months was great. Well, that might not be accurate, as we had some adjustment issues, but never once did I doubt his love for me and my family. So I married him on day 85 of his 90 day period. I was called cruel by some in another thread stating that he should be angry since he came here for me and our marriage. I argued the same fact that you did, we had wonderful vacations, but that is not daily life. I really tried to be as sure as one could be in situations like that before I married.

Again thank you to all the people who take time out of there own lives to offer support and kind words to people in need. This site truly is a blessing to many.

I was going to say something in reference to someone you mentioned, but I just don't need the drama. I will say you are not alone though in your perception. Negative and crabby behavior is just that. Misery loves company etc. Glad you got it off you chest, and I wish the best for you and your well being!

Actually one of the persons who blamed the victim was a woman herself...

Nobody deserves to be abused...Man or Woman...
