What does fiscal year mean ?

Hey everyone.

I am trying to keep a track on the fiscal year - FY Cut off dates, but I don't understand what it means and which one I am suppose to follow... the 2011 one ?

And my category is F4, filed in November 2001.

I checked the 2011 column of november and just can't understand.

Pls give me info about the FY - cut off dates.

The US government fiscal year starts on October 1 and ends on September 30.

The new batch of visas become available on October 1.

Aaron - So does that mean just from October 1 till September 30... the US government issues the visas ?

So they don't issue the whole year ?

Pls provide more info about the Fiscal year, what does it mean ?

Fiscal year for USCIS is from October 1 this year to September 30 next year. That's a WHOLE year!! read carefully

Alright thanks asdfg & Lindac... I just read in a hurry.

So, the fiscal year in cut off date shows - for 2011 - Nov. - 1 Jan 02

What is that suppose to mean ?

And do you guys have ANY idea of when they will issue visas for those filed in November 2001. I am just in processing since 1 year. Now, plz don't tell me to check visa bulletin, I know... it doesn't give any precise info.
