Hi everyone,

We found out yesterday (July 31) that our K1 visa documents were sent from NVC to Warsaw embassy on July 30. I was trying to use the DHL trick and it showed that nothing left NVC either on 30th or 31st. Is it possible that NVC takes a few days between getting the packages ready to be sent and DHL physically picking them? Was/Is anyone in the same situation? Did the trick work well for everybody or were there cases where you couldn't track anything on DHL website and the visa paperwork safely reached the embassy?

Thanks!

Actually, I just managed to track mine! Looks like I just made a simple mistake: I didn't realize there is no space between the month and the year ( EXP 30 JUL2012A and NOT EXP 30 Jul 2012A). Also, you have to narrow down the search to your country, because I didn't at first and there only showed a selected list of results... Hope it will help you find yours!

When they say 'sent' it means prepared to be sent, which usually means pickup happens next day (business day). You might want to expand your earch +/- 1-2 days and then it should come up. We found ours that way.

In any case, once delivered, give it a couple of days to be register at the embassy.

FYI, you don't need to wait for delivery of packet 3 in Warszawa and can (at least it was like that last year) send the forms. All forms for packet 3 are online at the Embassy site, as well as instructions for packet 4 (which are the medical exam, x-ray, etc).

There used to be a free number to call, look under contact and in the "Immigrant visa" number; in case you want to confirm.

One more thing, they schedule interviews at the end of the month (for the following month), so since your petition is just about to get there, to ensure a September interview, you want to have all paperwork submitted by Aug 24-25 I'd say.

If you get to the site, you will get the instructions on what doctors to goto etc.

Good luck
