But he didn't express just his own personal religious views. He said "we" and referred to the Company supporting family values - the biblical definition of the family unit.

But unless he put his views into action where is the discrimination? Is it discriminatory to voice an opinion? As far as I can tell he never once turned down a customer or refused to hire someone based upon their sexual orientation. Discrimination is an act, not a opinion.

What I do not support is elected officials - the mayor of Chicago and the mayor of Boston - using their positions to decide where Chick-fil-A can open restaurants. By the way, even the ACLU has come out supporting Chick-fil-A in this.

Which is fortunate because nobody, not the Mayor of Chicago nor the Mayor of Boston, has used their positions to decide where Chick-fil-A can open restaurants.

OK, here's a question for you.

If you were a gay person, would you feel comfortable going into a Chik-Fil-A franchise to look for a job?

I wouldn't.

Unless you are on Mars, you knew the President was a supporter of gay marriage before he announced it. The same way you knew Chik-Fil-A were anti-gay before Dan Cathy spoke to the Baptist Press.

What??

Obama repeatedly said he opposed same-sex marriages.

“I’m a Christian, and so although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman,” he said in 2004 on Chicago TV station WBBM.

Of course, that was before his beliefs "evolved".

IN other words had George wallace just talked about excluding Blacks from school you would have been cool with that.

But you'll be in haven. Full of segregation, no homosexals, lots of guns, an beers, pickup trucks, and no muzlums. And no 'bortions.

NOw I am a little surprised at you, here I thought you were an idea-man and you use the old tired lib response.

I'm at white person and I would feel odd applying for a job at the NAACP? Take another swing RJ. Chik Fil A already employ's numerous homosexuals.

I have Muslim friends that feel odd about applying for a job at B'nai Brith.

Actually, the 2004 helps prove my point. For at least 8 years Barack Obama held the same view as Dan Cathy and yet there was no outrage. Why don't all the people upset at Chick-fil-A give them 8 years for their opinion to "evolve"?

Try to answer the question without slinging insults. Seriously, try it.

Read through the commentary and you'll see all the different things that Obama said through the years. Even in 1996.

Even if I were to go with your premise, I can't see the harm in someone's opinion changing. That's what happens to us as we grow older and experience life. When I was young, there was no "acceptance" of homosexuality. People hid it like crazy. And we made jokes of people who acted "#######". My perspective of homosexuality has certainly changed through the years.

I'm not saying any of that as some "excuse" for a politician saying something different than what they did 8 years ago. I'm just saying that people's opinions and views do change.
