We pay two dollars for shirts at the thrift store. If you bring used clothes in there at the same time, like stuff the kids have grown out of you can walk out of there with 3-4 name brand shirts and pay zero.

Neither of these two represents us. They both represent the military-industrial-security-banking complex. We have no resentment over it. That's who is paying them, so we don't expect differently. It's cute to see the media making up these "differences" as if they mattered.

Most presidents and other high-ranking polticos aren't possessors of hot bods. They ARE in possession of bodies that reflect their age and their state of health. Hillary is in her 60s -- no one should expect her to have a smokin' set of gams. There are of course exceptions to the rule in the world at large, but they are largely in the entertainment world, where power and prestige is more closely tied to appearance. Hillary and Michelle look age-appropriate. Sarah Palin looks age-appropriate. Sarah and Michelle are and look like what they are -- middle-aged moms who take care of themselves.

Ultimately women should no more be judged on their looks in politics than men should. Has anyone called Ron Paul a looker? How about Biden? Does anyone say that they think Mitch McConnell is a hot mess because of his jowls?

Couple points.

- Sarah Palin does not look like the average 50 yr old women, get serious, not only are genetics on her side but the woman runs marothons which I doubt many 50 yr old woman can do.

-We can agree, people "should" be judged on ideas and talent but in reality it takes a lot more of those ideas and talent to over come dog ugly looks. If Palin looked like the average female democrat in politics there is no doubt she would be as successful and popular as she has been.

-Mrs Obama, I would say looks above average too for her age and race.
