Hi members, I need some help understanding this whole process. I have an interview on the 31st of august for my I-485 adjustment through marriage, i haven't got any approval or any decision for the I-765. My question now is on the 31st after the interview what next??? Will i get a temporary stamp to be able to start work or will i be approved the I-765 since i will be approved the I-485? OR Whats gonna happen. How long does it take after the interview to hear or receive a hard copy. thank you guys :help:

If you get aprove in your interview. You will get your new gc in the mail. For two years. You won.t need your work permit coz with your gc you are autorize work and live permanently.

Thanks my question is will i have to wait for them to mail it or can i get a temporary stamp that day to walk out i have a job awaiting me and they just waiting for me to come with prove you know. Also will i need to take another pic and fingerprint

you can certainly explain the situation to the IO and ask if you could get a temporary stamp in your passport. It could also be that you receive your EAD in the mail before the interview.
