Did you try to talk to an immigration officer when you call USCIS ? do that and see what they will tell you, they have more access to information than the normal customer service reps. if the officer confirmed you have an interview at Sept, then your husband need to attend it regardless.

If you did not get a satisfying answer, in your interview letter, there you will find the address for the office who made your husband interview, use this address to send a mail explaining what happened and what should you do. nothing more you can do ( also I noticed that the same office whom I got my GC congratulation letter from is the same as the one I will get my N-400 interview at, and inside it, there is the office director name (the big guy)), if the same for you, you will find the office DIRECTOR name, you can send the mail to him/her, this might move things as well.

Good luck

It sounds to me like they just messed up at USCIS, asking for a second interview by mistake....I could be wrong!

If I were in your boots, I'd make an infopass appointment to see what's going on....the officers there are generally very helpful.

An info pass appointment as suggested (before Sept) is your best bet to find out exactly what the delay is . Bring all letters that you've received including the interview result from June. I cannot imagine what a lawyer could do for you (except cost you $$$) at this point.

At first, my stepdaughter's IO told her a decision cannot be made until she provided proof she paid 50 bucks for a traffic violation. Sure sounds weak to me, but was a reason.

But then a week later received a letter stating she doesn't have to provide proof she paid that fine, but had to answer to assault and battery charges when she was 17 months old living in Venezuela. They didn't say she was 17 months, I determined that by her age and the date these charges were allegedly made. But the key point here, it was a reason why a decision could not be made.

If not given a reason why a decision cannot be made, you are helpless. A friend received an extensive delay, besides supplying at the required evidence, her IO wanted a utility bill as additional evidence of a valid marriage, get joint home ownership, property taxes, and joint income taxes wasn't enough for that IO. But it was a reason.

Wife passed her interview, but we never heard anything, after contacting our senators office, learned very quickly her IO misplaced her application. Our senator also helped us to answer my stepdaughters assault and battery charges, apparently her IO didn't do the math to realize she was only 17 months old.

Thanks UdellaandWiz...Thanks for ur advice ...We made a contact to the lawyer to come along with my husband to the reinterview..becoz last time at the time of interview they put many questions to my husband about his 2months(3 times)visit to home country in different years...he did not stayed more than six months any time...but they put many questions to him...So my husband feel comfortable taking the lawyer to reinterview along with him so that cannot put questions like this that they did like the last time..

Thanks UdellaandWiz

Hate to say this about my country, racism is really a problem here and always has been. Meeting my Hispanic wife, that is a culture and not a race as many are mistaken about, spend considerable time in both Colombia and Venezuela that is just like here with many different colors of people. They seem to get along far better than we do.

My wife's IO was African American and stepdaughter's was Asia, judging by their inability to speak good English, guessing they were both immigrants themselves. Both are German decent, but Hispanic had to be checked off on their N-400.

If that was the cause of their problems with delays, a debatable question, but could equally as well be a viable question. During our AOS interview, had a white woman born in that area and was allowed to attend, it was a wonderful interview and very friendly. But at the same office wasn't even allowed to say hello let alone explain our evidence since my name was on every sheet of paper. My girls were on their own.

Also board certified by several different other government agencies, and by board, I mean board were the majority rules. Really ironic with the citizenship interview, only one individual holds that ax over your neck. With a board, always one individual that says no to everything, regardless of your qualifications. With the USCIS, you can be very unlucky and get that kind of individual for your IO. That is when you have problems.
