Question about I-864?

Im reviewing the I-864 form and I have a question about the asset portion. Where it asks for my checking and savings balance what should I put? My balance changes frequently, and I dont have any savings that are just sitting in the bank. Will they ask to see copies of my wife and my account information? If I just put 0 could that be detrimental even though I have a co-sponsor that makes well above the poverty guideline? Thanks for any help :thumbs:

09/17/12 I-130 sent
09/21/12 NOA1 recieved via e-mail (CSC)
09/27/12 NOA1 hardcopy recieved
09/27/12 Case transferred to another office for processing (Jurisdiction)
10/03/12 Received notice of transfer. Transferred to NBC in Missouri
10/03/12 Checked USCIS.gov/Notice of transfer to another USCIS office for processing
12/19/12 NOA2!!!!!

01/07/2013 NVC recieves the case
01/24/2013 Got the Case and IIN #
01/24/2012 E-mailed DS-3032

01/24/2013 AOS bill invoiced
02/07/2013 DS-3032 e-mail accepted
04/15/2013 AOS and IV fees payed

05/15/2013 AOS and IV packages sent

05/29/2013 CASE COMPLETE

06/04/2013 Interview date set for July 30th 2013

07/27/2013 Medical completed

07/30/2013 Interview APPROVED!!!!!

Hi,

no need to fill it, that part is optional, if you have a joint sponsor, than skip that part.

Hi,

Sry one more question. Where it asks for my tax info should I fill it out. I filed taxes in 2010 so I need to put my income for that year in right? but I did not file in 2011 or 2009. Should I attach 2010 taxes with my letter explaining my situation or no?

You will need the letter from IRS explaining that you were not required to file taxes. Call them I think they send an official letter.

Even though you have co-sponsor you are still required as the Petitioner to have last 3 years tax filed.

You don't need a letter from the IRS, if you were not required to file. Simply hand write a note like "Not required to file. Income below threshold." if that's the reason you were not required to file. If you WERE required to file, then you'll need to file.
