what is Priority Date and how do you find if it is current, I am USC and only saw stats for legal citizens

For IR-1/CR-1 applicants, priority dates mean nothing as there's an unlimited amount of visas per year. Priority dates only matter for other visas where there's a limited number available per year.

yay, so I called NVC earlier today to ask about our case. they said no, it takes 20 days. I decided to call again around 7pm PST, and they told me it was completed! I asked how long does it take on average to receive word on the interview date. I was told it all depends on the US Embassy but they will let me know by email. We'll see when we get our interview date! :D

thank you, i found a website that had a calculator

and it said my date would be current in 2021

i almost cried

OK YOU.

IF the petitioner is a USCitizen when the I-130 is filed (and not after)

then the Priority Date is a meaningless bit o data.

What's what, and who's who ?

Studying yer timeline, you already have NVC TimeTicks this month. What's up? Why to stress? Do you need a time-filling activity? Please to purchase 2 cubic yards of dirt in the morning, a gross of seeds, and plant something, somewhere.

FWIW, for a 'USCitizen at time of I-130 filing', the Priority Date is also the NOA-1 Receipt Date, as printed in the I-797-C formletter.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Posted this in the Scandinavians thread too:

Ran across this thread, they got congressman involved and asked for expediting at NVC due to very long wait. It's worth a try.
