Help please!!! My husband mailed his DS-230 package to NVC on Wednesday, should arrive today. However last night I received an email containing a checklist which said it must be included in the package with the DS-230... what do I do now????

Don't worry about it at all! You either include the checklist cover sheet or the IV one from the payment portal. You're A-OK!!! good.gif

Hello Saylin,

I'm back :P

Have a doubt, I sent my criminal records to NVC, got my case complete (great), interview scheduled (awesome!)

But now my criminal records gonna expire at the end of Set., my interview is Set. 5 , I'm taking with me my copies of my criminal records, the same ones I sent to NVC.

Should I take new criminal records? Or they gonna count the expiration date at the NVC point?

Thanks a lot

again, hehe!

Hi people, Im preparing my IV packege and i have a doubt regarding the petitioner`s address. The matter is that due to the lawyer that helped us filling I130 and AOS advice we completed those forms with my wife`s address in the US but now im reading in some topics here that if the petitioner is living abroad, the correct address would be the address abroad. My wife and my son have been living here with me in Argentina for one year, before that my wife was coming and going but after giving birth to my child in the US they came here. So the question is..... what address should i put my wife and child live in DS230 when she already filled I130 and AOS with her US address.?????

Thank u

Oh thank goodness!!! Thanks so much Saylin... I know a lot of us would be lost without your help! One other small thing, my husband mailed the package to the ATTN of CMR, as listed on the receipt, but the checklist said to send to ATTN of DR... are we still ok? Again thanks for all you help!!

I would say to get new ones to be on the safe side. You can try contacting your embassy, explain your situation, and see what they say.

Yeah, technically, you should have used the international address if your wife was indeed living abroad. (It would have also meant an NOA2 within a few days/weeks, instead of months). As for what to put now, on the DS-230, I'm not sure. You should be putting the international address, but since it was used on previous forms, it might confuse NVC. I'd call up NVC and ask. If you do, make sure you call at least 5 times as their answers may vary.

You're still good good.gifAs long as it makes it to NVC, I don't think the ATTN matters...

Cover letter for IV package should be written from the POV of the beneficiary and not petitioner correct?

I'm also a little concerned about the education question, are we supposed to put all K-12+higher education? Because that's going to be a lot for me, I was thinking of putting just High school, College and Grad School where I got degrees would that be enough? Anything before and all the study abroad stuff would just be left out.

Technically, yes, the POV of the beneficiary.

For the education, it's only high school and on, not elementary or anything. Pretty much anywhere you got a degree/diploma.
