hi sayling,

we got our ds-3032 accepted and the aos payement show paid so we are going to send the aos packtage but we don't know what's IRS tax transcripts and how can we get them and how long does it takes ?

The IRS tax transcripts are obtained from the IRS for free. It can take 1-2 weeks to receive them once you order them from their site.

Hey Saylin -

First, thanks for the link! I passed it on to the mister, and he wrote an email to the inspector general's office, copying in the NVC. Lo and behold, we have a case complete today! Just waiting on the interview to be scheduled now – so I'll be going back through the guides to figure out what I do next. Have already had my medical and the results are sitting at the embassy waiting!

Thanks again for your invaluable help, support and other advice. It's really appreciated.

Grats on the case complete! kicking.gif

Please remember, the DS-3032 acceptance email doesn't really matter. What matters is the IV being invoiced in the payment portal. So, don't worry whatsoever about your husband not checking his email. You should be keeping an eye on the payment portal to see if the IV bill has been invoiced. That's ultimately the indicator that the DS-3032 has been accepted.

Only reason my my anxiety is if it was rejected. I would have thought by now I would be invoiced. Today is day 11. We sent on 8/18. Of course when I called NVC last night the nasty operator said "well we didn't even send you the email about the DS-3032 until the 24th. She had a mood on her boy.

Well I will just hop by friday something shows up. Thanks Saylin.

do we still have to order IRS tax transcripts even if we have ALL tax papers we filed for 2011 ?

i have told by someone we don't have to if have ALL tax papers we filed for 2011.

Please go back to the FAQ and read again. For tax information, it's either tax transcripts or tax returns and W2s.

So, if you have the ENTIRE tax return: schedules, forms, attachments, W2s, etc, then you submit all that and won't need the tax transcripts.

Just a note though: tax transcripts are HIGHLY preferred over tax returns as they're much more concise (usually around 3-5 pages), compared to the pages and pages of tax returns, plus they're actual proof that you filed taxes. Copies of tax returns means next to nothing about whether you filed or not. Anyone can fill up a 1040 and include their W2s, but it's not proof at all that you submitted them to the IRS. So, I'd suggest you at least order the tax transcripts for the interview and bring those in case they're needed at your embassy.

do we have to show proof of relationship between my wife and her parents as well as proof of same residence ?

2) dooes her parent have to get letters from employers and from banks testifying to employment status and account contents/assets and statuses ?

Thanks

If her parents are going to be co-sponsors, yes, you need to show proof of relationship (birth certificate) and proof of residence (copy of driver's license).

And yes, if they're co-sponsors then they need proof of employment as well. And if they're using assets to qualify, then bank statements are needed.

dwheels took 14 biz days once it was received -- I'm just being impatient. It's been so long since my husband has been here in the US and our case has finally started moving but it's just not moving quickly enough. We still have so much more to go/do :(

Yup good.gif Remember, just copies are needed though, and not certificates. You might also want to include a photocopy of her mom and dad's marriage certificate, showing their relationship.
