VISA APPROVED! Interview was pretty easy! 2.5 hours total, but only 5 minutes with the American Consulate Officer. The questions were pretty basic. Rest of it was preliminary stuff, including fingerprints and all!

All done! Thanks to all that helped. Special thanks to Saylin. Keep up the great work!

oh, ok awsome... thanks. he already has most of the stuff with him as i gave it to him in may. so ill just put some other things that he doesnt have in it when it comes for that time. :) thanks :)

that stuff isn't in the casefile, it's in HIS hands.

Want to get it INTO the casefile? Submit it with the DS-230.

Why get it into the casefile, you ask? Why, so an IV Officer can review it prior to interview day.

blech. need to chase that down. I sense you have a timing issue, somehow, or

NVC is really backlogged for finding emails.

have you re-read Ryan's topic about what he did during NVC Electronic Processing?

I finally got a response email from them, not what I wanted to see.

I spoke to a supervisor and the supervisor will look into it and call me back. This after trying to OPTIN electronically 8 days ago.

All right! The supervisor called me back half an hour later. Now I have my GZO number and DS-3032 was accepted, whew!!!

that is such great news ! See? Getting a Supervisor is useful ! Congratulations !

I am beginning to think NVC hates me now. 1 week since case# and still not invoiced. Someone who got case# day before me invoiced and shows paid, package in mail. Good grief. Here I go again.:crying: :crying:

You need to send a packet of muffins to SuperVisor Sue @ NVC, with a handwritten, personal note.

What are the pros and cons? AOS bill was invoiced so we're starting to think about 1vs2 packages

Also we sent our DS-3032 email on friday, is it worth it to call them and ask if they've gotten it or should we just wait?

Pros about sending them together: you save on postage

Cons about sending them together: you waste a few days (or more) that the AOS could have been sent to NVC and the review process started

Regarding the copies of the AOS/IV packets - we just hold onto them right, only one copy of everything should be sent to the NVC correct?

You send the original package to NVC and keep a copy for your records, which you should bring to the interview for those "just in case" moments.

Well the 5p EST phone call was spent waiting on hold for 5 minutes; then I realized I have to ration 450 day time minutes and wasn't about to waste 60 of those to be told I don't have a case #.

SO I called back around 9p EST and was on hold for 30 minutes. The operators at night are super friendly -- but sadly, no case # yet. I guess I'll give it a rest until Wednesday (business day 8)

You need to send a packet of muffins to SuperVisor Sue @ NVC, with a handwritten, personal note.

I might have to do that cuz Sue maybe the one who has inside track to the Nigerian Interviews. LOL you are too funny. Thank you for keeping me laughing through this ummm Fun.

So do I send my AOS after i pay the fee or do I have to wait for the DS-3032 to be approved first?

Once you pay your AOS, 2 to maybe 3 days later it will show PAID. Thats whe you can print your barcoded sheet and send in your AOS.

NVC is so tricky -- it's like, I get 20 minutes into holding for someone to pick up and I'm like "do I hang up or do I keep waiting? I've come so far!!!!" *sigh*
