Update you information, country, timeline...etc. Hard to help you with so little information.

I am from Vietnam. I sent I864 and DS230 together today 8/20. I notice some cases that complete 4 days after NVC receives and they have interview date 5 days after case complete. I wonder when I can call NVC to ask if my case completes and when my interview date is after they get my packages.

03/04/2010: Getting married

06/06/2011: Submit I-130. Case is at CSC

06/08/2011: NOA1

01/06/2012: NOA2

01/23/2012: Case number assigned

01/26/2012: AOS Bill and IV Bill invoiced

05/10/2012: Paid AOS and IV fees

08/20/2012: Sent AOS and IV packets

08/22/2012: NVC received AOS and IV packets

08/29/2012: Case complete

11/06/2012: Interview date appointment received

12/04/2012: Interview date. Approved!!!

I don't know what NVC does !, but you are ahead of me. I still wait for AOS bill it is 5 working days now since case number assigned.

You are getting closer to "case complete" once you send DS230 and I864. Good luck you ...Congratualation.

NOA2 approved Aug 14. Called NVC today and they received it today on 8/20.

Will call again tomorrow to ask about case # & IIN.

I don't know what NVC does !, but you are ahead of me. I still wait for AOS bill it is 5 working days now since case number assigned.

NVC:

07/23/2012 - Case arrived at NVC (31 Days from USCIS to NVC) ----------------??? it only had 3 days from USCIS to NVC not 31 days

Hi, our CR-1 visa application is moving forward at the NVC.

August 15: received case number, paid AOS fee, sent DS-261, sent optin-email for electronic processing.

August 17: paid IV Fee

August 20: IV and AOS fee show as PAID. DS-260 complete and submitted.

I have two questions:

1. We have not yet received confirmation that the our request for electronic processing has been accepted. Do you think it is ok to go ahead and email the AOS and IV packages anyway? They are ready to go.

2. I read Saylin's instructions for submitting AOS packages. She says to include the document cover sheet as part of the PDF package. But the instructions on the payment portal state:

"Unless this case has joined the Electronic Processing Program you will need a Document Cover Sheet."

Since we are in fact doing electronic processing, do we still need to include this? It is easy to do so, of course, but I don't want to include something they specifically do not want.

For us spousal visas we stay at NVC until an interview is assigned.

Your next step is Calling now that you are done. You want to hear those magical words "Case Complete".

Depending on your embassy it nay be a wait or quick. Seems most here wait is 3 to 4 weeks before a interview is assigned.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

It gets sent out once interview is scheduled. You can keep calling NVC to find out if an interview is scheduled.

So how long is it usually till they,assign a case number? They,received case same say as NOA2 which was on aug. 6. Still nice case number..

Alrighty - could not wait for your replies :). So called them and they said everything is all set and case was approved and waiting for an interview date to be assigned. Thanks a ton for a wealth of information this forum provides. All in all, I recieved my case number and AOS email on 07/31 and AOS, DS3032 and DS230 all got sent and approved on 08/20. So looks extremely efficient to me considering the amount of load they have.
